I mean, aren’t informants for a foreign power considered spies anyway? And the woman clearly wasn’t an informant for their own government, otherwise she probably wouldn’t have been taken away.
The show seems to be set in a Cold War-esque era. I believe there was a lot of paranoia regarding spies on both sides of that war, which this show seems to be drawing from as inspiration.
I forgot to say the 1st episode of SpyxFamily was by Studio Wit. Cloverworks handle the 2nd episode

best description for Yor, i think? Excellent and bright at assassination and cleaning, but dumb at anything else.
I like the ironic comedy in the show:
1. Twilight says he gave up married life and his next mission is to have a married life.
2. Yor wants to be married to avoid suspicion of being a spy, and ends up “marrying” a spy.
When she was on the phone with her brother, he mentioned she was extremely gullible, so that’s my theory about why she still hasn’t figured it out.
Also Honestly, I feel like they won’t learn about each other’s power/jobs because so far that’s 99% of the comedy lmao

The fact that they are so used to anime that they understand the story well and grasp all the funny moments makes watching them completely stress-free and enjoyable.

Let’s be real: the proposal was cool, but the most relatable moment in the episode has to be when Yor was about two minutes away from just straight up killing everyone at the party in order to avoid that awkward situation.
I do like the worldbuilding in this series. The whole “single women are suspicious” thing initially felt like just an excuse to bring Yor and Loid together. But then one of Yor’s coworkers mentions that single women were actually being reported as spies. And later, Loid says that the reason he has to find a civilian wife rather than getting a fellow spy to help him is cause a lot of them have gotten caught recently. Which suggests that they REALLY ARE catching some spies this way.

Love Lindsay’s shirt. It’s funny because the Spy Fam trio has the same color scheme as the (initial) Student Council trio – except this time the blonde is the ultra competent but detached one and the black hair/red eyes girl is the kind one who is really good at the one thing.

When the contact “meowed” in the first episode, it was a “C” cypher, and when he “ribbitted” in this episode it was either an “F” or “T” cypher, so unless I’m completely off base, I think it’s pretty clear how that works
